Slab foundation systems
are simple in design - usually rectangular in shape and the concrete is
poured all at once creating a single unit.
The preparation of the
ground will differ depending on what type of slab system is used for
the foundation.
Post-Tension
Foundations require the least amount of preparation work for the ground
and it is generally not necessary to bring in any fill for compaction
under the slab.
Reinforced foundations
can be placed upon a prepared building pad or can be integrated and
poured directly onto rock formations in the natural grade.
In instances of highly
expansive soil the use of void boxes may be the best solution. Our
technicians and engineers are able to assist you in recommendations for
the most ideal situation based upon the findings through a geotechnical
engineering investigation.
