FIELD GEOTECHNICAL
TECHNICIAN
FIELD RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs construction materials
testing in a field environment in accordance with AASHTO, ASTM, and
other related testing standards.
- Concrete testing includes:
Sampling, Slump, Temperature, Unit Weight, Air Content and Fabrication,
and Storage and Transportation of Field Specimens.
- Soil and aggregate testing
includes: Sampling, Maximum Density Determination, and Compaction by
Nuclear and Sand Cone Methods.
- Other duties include: Drilled
Shaft Inspection, Post Tension Inspection, Asphaltic Concrete Sampling
and Nuclear Density Determination, Reinforcement Steel Inspection,
Foundation Excavation Inspection, and Grout and Mortar Sampling.

Certified in Radiological Safety and Gauge Operation
- American Concrete Institute (ACI)
Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I
- Arizona Technical Institute (ATI)
Field Level I
- ADSC Drilled Shaft Inspection
Workshop, 17 hours
- The Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI)
Unbonded Post-Tensioning
- Competent Person for Trenching,
Excavation & Shoring
